Kent has its star trails, but sometimes the best walks are the ones where you don’t see another soul. If you’re craving quiet or just want to feel like you’ve discovered somewhere new, these hidden gems will deliver.
Coldrum Long Barrow Loop (near Trottiscliffe) – A peaceful woodland and field route leading to a Neolithic burial site older than Stonehenge.
Ranscombe Farm Reserve (Cuxton) – A blend of chalk grassland, woods, and wildflowers that’s often overlooked. Come in spring for orchids.
