Lympne Castle: A Castle Series Dog Walk with The Dog Advisor Kent

Guided Group Walk

Overview:

Time to get some tails wagging! Join us for a very special collaboration with The Dog Advisor Kent. This walk has been designed especially for our customers and their dogs. This 4-mile adventure centres around the spectacular Lympne Castle and offers something a little different from our usual group outings – it’s all about the dogs.

We’ll follow a beautiful stretch of the Saxon Shore Way and the historic Royal Military Road path, taking in great views, peaceful canals, and woodland. Along the way, we’ll be going in search of the giraffes – a fun and slightly unexpected highlight that always raises a smile and finish with lunch (included in your ticket).

Expect a relaxed, sociable pace with plenty of wagging tails, good conversation and a shared love of exploring somewhere iconic together.

Route Details:

Our walk begins close to Lympne, along open sections of the Saxon Shore Way, with wide views across Romney Marsh and out towards the Channel on a clear day. The terrain is generally steady underfoot, with a mix of grass paths and firm track and an short sharp incline at the end. Along the way we’ll pass the giraffes at Port Lympne and stop to say hello!

Discover this hidden gem as we then join the tranquil Royal Military Canal path, flat, scenic and ideal for our four-legged companions. This historic waterway offers a completely different feel, lined with trees and rich in wildlife.

As we loop back towards the castle, anticipation builds for our grand finale: lunch inside the magnificent Great Hall at Lympne Castle. After four refreshing miles in the fresh air, we’ll have a well earned meal in truly unique surroundings making a perfect ending to a dog-focused day out that blends history, landscape and a touch of the unexpected.

Lunch:

Included in your ticket price is a delicious lunch in the magnificent Great Hall at Lympne Castle!

You’ll be sent a pre-order form a few weeks before the event, but expect a tempting choice of comforting classics and lighter options.  There’s a wide range to choose from and dietary requirements can be met (including GF and VG) like traditional ploughman’s (cheese or ham), local beer-battered cod and chips, slider burgers, hearty bangers & mash, classic lasagne, vibrant red curry, and flavour-packed dishes with garlic, ginger and maple syrup. There are also beautiful sharing-style boards, including smoked salmon and charcuterie.

Tickets + Dogs:

This event is all about our beloved dogs. We ask that all dogs remain on a lead at all times of the event for everyone’s safety and enjoyment. Tickets cover one human and one dog. If you’d like to bring a human plus one please purchase an extra ticket to cover their lunch and walk.

Please include your dogs name and breed at checkout.
