Christmas Walk: Shorne Village & Randall Woods

Join us for a relaxed 5 mile women’s group walk from Shorne Village, exploring the beautiful woodland and countryside around Randall Woods, with a little festive spirit along the way!
This lovely route takes us through the historic village of Shorne, before heading into Randall Woods, where we’ll enjoy peaceful woodland paths, leafy trails and the surrounding Kent countryside. It’s a great opportunity to get outdoors, enjoy some fresh air and spend time walking and chatting with the group.
As it’s our Christmas walk, feel free to wear something festive if you wish! Whether it’s a Christmas jumper, a Santa hat or just a touch of seasonal sparkle, it’s a lovely excuse to add a little Christmas cheer to our walk.
At around 5 miles, this is a manageable distance for anyone who enjoys walking but doesn’t want to commit to a longer day out. We’ll walk at a comfortable pace, with no pressure to rush, and there will be opportunities to stop and take in the scenery along the way.
The walk
We’ll start in Shorne Village, a traditional Kent village with a long history dating back to medieval times, before heading out towards the woodland trails of Randall Woods.
Shorne itself has historic roots, with its parish church of St Peter and St Paul reflecting the village’s long standing rural heritage. We’ll leave the village behind and make our way into the surrounding countryside, enjoying a lovely mix of woodland paths, fields and quiet country trails.
As we loop through Randall Woods, we’ll enjoy the peaceful woodland setting, with plenty of opportunities to chat, take in the surroundings and enjoy a relaxing walk away from the bustle of everyday life. Randall Woods is part of the wider wooded landscape of the North Kent countryside, offering a lovely setting for a winter walk.
At around 5 miles, this is a great distance for a relaxed group outing, with a friendly atmosphere and no pressure to rush.
And to finish things off, there’s the option of stopping for a festive drink at The See Ho afterwards, a chance to warm up, catch up with everyone and enjoy a little Christmas cheer together!
Come and walk with us
Our Kent Women’s Wellness Walks are a chance to step away from the busy stuff, get outside and spend some time with other women.
Whether you’re navigating a new chapter, going through a difficult patch, finding your way through menopause, or simply looking for more connection, fresh air and good company, you’re very welcome.
Our walkers range from their 20s through to their 70s and beyond, and that’s exactly how we like it. Everyone brings their own experiences, stories and reasons for coming along.
These are relaxed, supportive walks where there is no pressure to be anything other than yourself.
There’s something about walking alongside other women that makes conversation come naturally. Sometimes you’ll chat the whole way, sometimes you’ll enjoy a bit of quiet, and sometimes you’ll find yourself talking to someone you’ve only just met about something you didn’t expect to share.
Most importantly, there’s no judgement and no expectations. Just women, nature, good conversation and a bit of time for yourself.
