Daring to Climb: Our First Mountain Adventure to Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa)
Estimated reading time 2 minutes
Snowdon / Yr Wyddfa

19 incredible women from our women's wellness walking group in Kent took on our first ever travel adventure — climbing the highest mountain in Wales, Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), standing proud at 1,085m (3,560ft). It was an emotional, beautiful and unforgettable experience. 🏔️💚
For some women, it was their very first mountain — something they never thought they could do. Others climbed for someone they’d lost, someone they loved, or for their own healing. Some came seeking growth, some came for their physical or mental health, and others simply to prove to themselves that they could. 🌟

The photos I’ve shared don’t focus on the amazing scenery (though it was stunning), but on the even more amazing women who stood shoulder to shoulder through every step of this journey.
I want to say this loud and clear: even if you didn’t touch that trig point, your journey was still as powerful. You showed up with heart. You took in the wonder of the mountains. You faced your fears. You were part of something bigger — and that matters. Out of our 19, 17 summited, and when they did, there were hugs, tears, and cheers that echoed across the rocks.

To our two phenomenal Mountain Leaders, Emily and Nicjy — thank you. 💚 It was really important to me to have an all-female guiding team. Personally, I learnt so much from you — advice and confidence I’ll carry forward on every future walk. Your calm, kind, expert leadership made this possible. You held space so beautifully for every single woman on that mountain, and we felt safe and empowered every step of the way. 🥾💪
What touched me the most is that many of these women didn’t even know each other before this trip. They took a leap of faith — in me, in each
other, and most powerfully, in themselves. And I couldn’t be more proud or grateful.
Because when you climb a mountain, you so often climb invisible ones too — self-doubt, fear, grief, old stories, and silent battles no one sees. And that’s the real magic of it. ⛰️✨
And yes… we’re already planning our next one: Scafell Pike 2026 — England’s highest peak — and I cannot wait to stand on that summit, hand-in-hand with another group of fierce, joyful, brave women.
